PROGRAM CURRICULUM

Module 1- Strategic Leadership in Global Agrifood Operations

You will learn how to lead and inspire teams in the complex global agrifood industry. This module will equip you with strategic decision-making skills, enabling you to set visions, align organizational goals, and drive innovation. You will also gain insights into managing cross-cultural teams and navigating the challenges of a rapidly changing agribusiness and food markets.

Module 2- Digital Transformation Strategy for Agri-Food Managers

You will learn how to use digital technologies to transform agrifood operations. This module covers how to design and implement digital transformation strategies that improve the efficiency of your agrifood enterprise and improve customer engagement. You will use simple tools like data analytics and digital transformation toolkits to support you in leading digital initiatives within your organization. By the end of this module, you will be able to create a digital transformation strategy blueprint for your farms, food processing and agribusiness enterprises.

Module 3: Financial Accounting and Investment Management for Agri-Food Leaders

You will learn how to understand the financial principles crucial for agrifood management. This module teaches you how to interpret financial statements, manage budgets, and analyze investment opportunities. You will also discover strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency, ensure product safety, and respond to disruptions, ensuring a smooth flow of your products in the global market.

Prof. Andie Brisibe

Prof. Andie Brisibe is a renowned Professor of Agricultural Biotechnology at the University of Calabar. He is recognized globally for his expertise in the dynamics of the global food economy. As a Visiting Professor at Campinas State University in Brazil, he leads research on business models for biofortified agricultural materials and Product Developments from Medicinal Plants. Prof. Brisibe holds a PhD from Nagoya University in Japan and has previously served as a Professor at Nagoya City University and a Research Fellow at the National Grassland Research Institute in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Sunny Ameh

Sunny Ameh

Sunny Ameh is the Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Monty’s Plant Food Company, USA, and formerly the Country Head for Syngenta Nigeria and West Africa. With a background in pharmacy and biotechnology, he is an expert in international crop nutrition and protection. Sunny is actively involved with CropLife Nigeria, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, and serves as a visiting facilitator at the Lagos Business School (LBS).

Godwin-Osagbemi (2)

Godwin Osagbemi

Godwin Osagbemi is a prominent financial analyst specializing in accounting and investment management for the food and agribusiness industries in Africa. A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), he has served as Chief Finance Officer at PNG Gas and Senior Consultant in Risk Management at KPMG. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Data Analysis from Cornell University, USA, and an MBA in International Agribusiness and Food Chain Management from Lead City University, Nigeria.

Dr. Olubunmi Alawode

Dr. Olubunmi Alawode is an expert in investment risk management within food and agricultural value chains in Africa. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics at the University of Ibadan. She has a PhD in Agricultural Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

Dr. Eric Alao

Dr. Eric Alao is an experienced leader in agricultural commodity processing and food chain management. He spent 25 years as General Manager at Obasanjo Farm Holdings, driving strategic growth in the production, sourcing, processing and trading of several agricultural products for the entire organization. He also worked as General Manager for Tempo Starch and Glucose Ltd.

Dr. Alao holds a PhD in Industrial Management from IIC University of Technology, Cambodia.  

 

Biyi Oladipo (1)

Biyi Oladipo

Biyi Oladipo is a seasoned expert in business transformation and technology-driven corporate development. With nearly three decades of experience, he has led numerous projects across various industries. Dr. Oladipo has an MBA from Lagos Business School, a Master’s in Information Science from the Africa Regional Centre for Information Science, and a Bachelor’s degree with Distinction from the University of Ibadan. He is currently a PhD candidate at Université Gaston Berger, Senegal.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

We seek highly motivated individuals who have demonstrated the potential to excel in a rigorous, integrated program. Candidates must demonstrate satisfactory performance in an online interview assessment, showcasing their readiness for the program’s challenges. Applicants should also have basic skills in internet navigation to ensure they can effectively participate in the program’s online format.

The Program is designed for a small cohort to facilitate close interaction between faculty and participants, and to promote strong in-class networking. Early Application is advised.
