Module 1 - Fundamentals of Agribusiness Entrepreneurship

Module 2 - Understanding Trends and Opportunities in the Global Food Economy

  1. Participants will develop the ability to analyze trends and identify opportunities within the dynamic global food economy. This knowledge empowers participants to make informed decisions and seize opportunities, enhancing their prospects for success in the ever-evolving agribusiness landscape. This module is an essential component of our comprehensive curriculum, providing participants with a holistic understanding of agribusiness entrepreneurship, from foundational principles to global market insights.


  1. Investment Opportunities in Arable Crop Production & Processing

Module 4 - Investment Opportunities in Livestock Production & Processing

  1. Participants will master the art of identifying lucrative investment opportunities within livestock production and processing. Livestock sectors covered include cattle, poultry, aquaculture and goats while offering a comprehensive investment perspective. Participants will learn to assess market trends, manage risks, and develop strategies for profitable investments in these dynamic areas. This knowledge empowers participants to confidently navigate the livestock investment landscape, from production fundamentals to strategic investment insights, ensuring success in the ever-evolving livestock agriculture sector.

Module 5 - Managing Investments in Commodity Trade

  1. Participants will become skilled in managing investments within the dynamic world of commodity trade. This module covers various agricultural commodities such as cocoa, cashew, sesame seeds, ginger and coconut. Participants will learn how to source these commodities, evaluate market trends, assess risks, and develop strategies for profitable commodity investments. This knowledge empowers participants to confidently navigate the complex commodity trade landscape, from understanding the basics to strategic investment insights, ensuring all round commercial success.

Module 6 - Fundamentals of Food Processing and Post Harvest Management

  1. Participants will gain essential knowledge in food processing and post-harvest management. This module covers a wide range of topics, including product formulation, food preservation, quality control, packaging, and distribution. Participants will learn how to enhance the value of agricultural products, reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure product safety. This knowledge equips participants with the skills to optimize the entire food supply chain, from processing to market delivery, enhancing profitability and sustainability in the agribusiness sector.

Module 7 - Innovative Food Product Development

  1. Participants will immerse themselves in the exciting realm of food product innovation. This module explores the entire product development cycle, from ideation to market launch. Participants will learn to identify market gaps, create unique food concepts, conduct market research, and develop innovative products. This knowledge empowers participants to become trailblazers in the food industry, delivering creative and appealing products that meet evolving consumer demands. At the end of this module, participants will possess the skills needed to create innovative and functional food products from the scratch and manage the commercialization process.

Module 8 - Value Chain Optimization and Quality Management

  1. This module delves deep into the optimization of value chains and quality management within the agribusiness sector. Participants will explore strategies to enhance the efficiency of value chains, from production to distribution, and implement quality control measures. The knowledge acquired empowers participants to deliver agrifood products of the highest quality to consumers, maximize efficiency, and improve competitiveness in the market

Module 9 - Market Analysis and Opportunity Mapping

  1. Participants will become adept at analyzing markets and mapping opportunities in the agribusiness sector across primary, secondary and tertiary production sphere. This module equips them with the skills to dissect local and export market dynamics, identify viable niches, and strategically position themselves for success. Module 10 - Agribusiness Financing and Investment Strategies

  1. In this module, participants will delve into the critical aspects of agribusiness financing and investment strategies. This knowledge empowers participants to make sound financial decisions, secure the capital needed for growth, and master the art of resource optimization, ensuring success in agribusiness ventures.

Module 11 - Strategic Management of Agribusiness Investments

  1. In this last module on the course, participants will gain clear understanding of strategic business models needed for managing investments in the agribusiness sector. This module covers investment planning, portfolio management, and risk assessment specific to the agribusiness sector. Participants will possess the skills to strategically allocate resources, optimize investments, and navigate the complexities of agribusiness finance, ensuring long-term success in the industry.

Module 12 - Capstone project

  1. The Capstone Project is the pinnacle of our program, providing participants with an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills gained throughout the course in a real-world setting. This component allows participants to work individually or in groups to tackle a significant agribusiness challenge or opportunity. They will develop and present a comprehensive project that addresses a specific issue within the agribusiness sector. This project is a culmination of their learning journey, where they can showcase their abilities to innovate, strategize, and make informed decisions within the agribusiness landscape. The Capstone Project is not only a learning experience but also a chance to demonstrate their readiness to excel as agribusiness leaders.

The program will be delivered by Faculty Members through Live and Pre-recorded Virtual Classes, Group Class Activities, Case Study Analysis and Capstone Projects.


  1. Agribusiness Entrepreneur: Graduates can establish their own businesses, become industry leaders and influence policies.
  2. Agribusiness Analyst: Graduates can become consultants helping companies, large agribusinesses, government agencies and development organizations to manage projects and provide strategic recommendations
  3. Agribusiness Manager: Graduates can become CEOs of Farms and Agribusiness Corporations leading operations, expansions and decision making
  4. Agribusiness Investment Advisor: Graduates can become consultants helping clients to assess risks, evaluate opportunities in agribusiness and manage investment portfolios.


During the program, each of the participants will create an innovative functional or non-functional agrifood product. Participants will be guided by a team of design thinkers and will be supported through the process of developing prototypes for their innovative concepts. Final Award

Final Award Upon completion of the course, participants will earn a Diploma in Agribusiness Entrepreneurship and Investment Management. Participants will receive the highly prestigious Nigerian College of Agribusiness Diploma Certificate and Transcript of academic records
